The Lone Bellow’s sixth album, What A Time To Be Alive, captures their signature harmonies and heartfelt storytelling while boldly expanding their sound with their full touring band. For the first time, Zach Williams, Brian Elmquist, and Kanene Pipkin wrote collaboratively with drummer Julian Dorio and multi‑instrumentalist Tyler Geertsma, channeling the raw energy of their live show into songs filled with warmth, honesty, and connection. Recorded live in Muscle Shoals after a writing retreat in a converted Kentucky firehouse, the album reflects on friendship, loss, love, and resilience.

The record blends the joy and vulnerability that define The Lone Bellow—lush harmonies, emotional lyrics, and genre‑blurring arrangements rooted in folk, rock, and gospel. Even setbacks, including the theft of early recordings, only strengthened their bond with fans and reaffirmed the communal spirit behind their music.

Since their acclaimed 2013 debut, the band has topped Americana charts, appeared on major TV shows, and headlined iconic venues from Carnegie Hall to the Ryman. With their new album, they reaffirm their mission: making music that builds community onstage and beyond.
