GA‑20 has been leading a traditional blues revival since 2018, channeling the intersection of Blues, Country, and early Rock ’n’ Roll with a raw, song‑driven electric sound. Guitarists Matt Stubbs and Cody Nilsen, along with drummer Josh Kiggans, focus on story, melody, and mood, aiming to bring classic blues energy into the modern roots scene.
Drawing inspiration from icons like Otis Rush, J.B. Lenoir, Howlin’ Wolf, and Hound Dog Taylor, the trio performs with a loose, high‑voltage immediacy. Their vintage instruments, old‑school amps, and live‑off‑the‑floor recording approach give their music an authentic, evolving edge.
