Never before has there been an adequate tribute to seventies supergroup ELP, the band that changed the world by combining the hard, raw energy of rock with the nuanced complexity of classical music in a stage show that held audiences riveted and breathless...until now.
Manticore has been filling theaters, music halls and performing art centers on the east coast since the passing of two of ELP’s founding members, Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, in 2016. The three seasoned musicians Rob Shepard, Ron Ponella and John Cristando recreate the unbridled ferocity of an ELP show on stage, while accurately reproducing the studio versions of ELP’s monstrous catalog.
