LIVESTREAM: 'Tis The Season with The Tisburys and Stella Ruze

Philadelphia-based The Tisburys’ latest album, A Still Life Revisited is their most collaborative effort to date, with every member contributing songwriting and production ideas. While their last album (2022’s Exile On Main Street) channeled 90s radio rock such as Gin Blossoms and The Replacements, A Still Life Revisited pushes into the aughts with the rustic bombast of millennial indies such as Frightened Rabbit and The Hold Steady. The band has earned praise from NPR, WXPN, and Steven Van Zandt’s Underground Garage, and shared stages with artists like Jenny Lewis, Gin Blossoms, and The War on Drugs.

Stella Ruze is an award-winning folk rock band from Philadelphia known for rich vocal harmonies, infectious rhythms, and bold horn arrangements. Formed in 2014 by Brendan Johnson and Katie O’Donnell, the group expanded from a quartet to a seven-piece, earning acclaim from WXPN and Radio 104.5 and winning the 2019 PHL LIVE Folk Award. They have played major festivals including XPoNential, Philly Music Fest, and the Philadelphia Folk Festival, and shared stages with acts like Pete Francis (Dispatch), Kuinka, and Blue Water Highway. Their 2020 album The Greater Dog followed earlier releases So Here and a self-titled EP. With new music slated for 2025, Stella Ruze continues to evolve their genre-bending sound.

Nervous Nikki and the Chill Pills are an indie rock band based in the suburbs of Philly led by drummer and vocalist Nicole Bauza. Sonically, they orbit in a unique asteroid belt of influences; a seldom seen place where rock and roll, hip hop, and folk music float together in unison. Together Nicole, Nathan, Doug, and Kendal bring you punchy bass lines, melodic guitar riffs, and group singing powered by raw emotion.
