On his new release, Exorcist, Birchwood delivers the most far-reaching, musically adventurous album of his career. According to Blues Music Magazine, “Selwyn Birchwood heralds a fresh, exciting new direction in the blues. Toe-tapping, hip-shaking, joyful and inviting…expansive and focused, exploratory and time-honored, but always original.” One listen to Exorcist will no doubt convert many new true believers: this is visionary contemporary blues written and performed by an endlessly creative, modern-day blues master.

New Jersey songwriter Katie Henry started out honing her craft by playing in blues clubs in and around NYC. With fiery guitar chops and natural charisma, she was soon a New York City jam scene favorite. Lately, the multi-instrumentalist is racing through career milestones at a rocket pace. Her debut album, High Road, received nominations by the IBMA and Blues Blast. On her second album, On My Way, Katie has found another gear. Whether slinging her trusty Gibson SG, hammering the keys, or hollering up a storm, these ten original songs, co-written with bassist and slide-guitar maestro Antar Goodwin, announced her as an alchemist who creates gemstones from the base metals of American roots.
