The buzz on Jennifer Batten rose from the guitar underground. Guitar magazines began chronicling her savvy musicianship and original approach to the electric guitar. A major turning point came when she was selected from over 100 guitarists to play in Michael Jackson’s BAD tour in 1987. After the tour, Jennifer set to work on her debut album with renown producer (and ex- Stevie Wonder guitarist) Michael Sembello and it was released in 1992. Jennifer joined Jackson again for his Dangerous tour. In January1993. She joined Jackson in Superbowl XXVII’s half time show which aired to 1.5 billion people in 80 nations. Her follow up CD, Momentum, was released just before she left for Jackson’s final global HIStory tour in 1997.

In the spring of 1998, Jeff Beck asked Jennifer to join his band. They joined forces for 3 years on the CDs Who Else, and You Had It Coming, which were both supported by world tours.

Jennifer has authored music books and her solo CDs venture from world beat and rock ‘n roll to electronica. The last CD Whatever is accompanied by a DVD which includes some of the visuals from her one-woman multimedia show where she plays guitar in synch with her self-made projected films, as well as unreleased music videos, and a guitar lesson. She continues to tour the globe in various formats, from bands, to solos shows, to clinics, and master classes.

Debra Devi fell in love with electric guitar as a girl but got the message that only boys played in bands. When she saw Bonnie Raitt perform in college, Debra couldn’t stifle her longing to play anymore. She bought a Fender Mustang at a pawnshop and moved to NYC. She joined various punk, industrial and rock bands, touring the US, Canada and Europe. Debra Devi's latest self-produced live EP, Jamification Station Vol. 1, reached #5 on the Relix/Jambands.com Top 30 Radio Chart, staying in the Top 30 for three months. Debra's passion for the blues led her to write The Language of the Blues: From Alcorub to Zuzu (foreword by Dr. John) which won the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award for Outstanding Book on Music.
