Carl Cox and Tim Hutson

Carl Cox is a touring saxophonist and solo recording artist from Southern New Jersey. Carl can be seen performing nationally and abroad with a variety of musical icons throughout the course of the year which include Smokey Robinson, Maysa, Incognito, Gerald Veasley and many more. His expertise on saxophone can be heard on a variety of major grammy award winning recordings, live performances and features on national radio. Many of his solo career singles can also be heard on XM radio which has earned the top spots on Billboard chart adds over the course of the year.

Carl grew up in Deptford, New Jersey where he is currently teaching high school music and sharing his passion of performance to his younger students. He received his Bachelor's degree in saxophone performance and Masters in Education at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.  During his time at University of the Arts, Carl had the opportunity to showcase his talent to other bands and musicians in the area where he began performing local weddings and private events. Shortly after graduating he began to get calls for touring acts from playing in different jam sessions around the area, leading to a great deal of recording/television /tours in the past 20 years.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Tim Hutson is a world-renowned drummer and music instructor whose dynamic talent and versatility have made him one of the most in-demand musicians of his generation. From early childhood, Tim displayed an innate rhythmic ability, crafting his first drum set from ice cream buckets at the age of eight. By high school, he had formed his own band, performing throughout the Philadelphia area.

Tim’s professional career launched at just 14 years old when he hit the road with The Delfonics. The day after his high school graduation, he embarked on a life-changing tour to Japan with Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, playing to standing-room-only crowds for two weeks. Since then, Tim has performed and toured with an impressive roster of legendary artists.

In addition to his touring career, Tim has an extensive recording background, working with major artists and producers, including Philadelphia International Records. Now stepping into his own spotlight as a recording artist, Tim has made waves on the Billboard charts, including the Top 20 with his hit single “Mind Over Matter” featuring Lori Williams, which peaked at #33 on the Billboard charts for 2024. Currently, he continues to perform with Maysa Leak and renowned bassist Gerald Veasley while also working on new music.
